At FCDO Services, we protect the UK’s interests at home and overseas. We design and construct secure government buildings and courier diplomatic packages worldwide, safeguard government tech and a whole lot more. Our work is as varied and vital as it gets, but we never lose sight of our people. Their skills, aspirations and growth mean as much as the global mission we’re on. In our world, it all matters.
The success of a government project can depend on secure, timely shipments and our Logistics team always deliver the goods. From dedicated drivers to King's Messengers, they've delivered to over 250 destinations worldwide, moving over a million kilograms of freight annually across land, air, and sea. Now, you've got the opportunity to join them.
Delivering globally.
Dispatching each shipment with care.
Seeing your impact go further.
It all matters.
Manage routine deliveries that protect diplomatic missions
When you join our professional transport team, you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering secure and cost-effective transport services across Europe. You’ll manage day-to-day operations, keep track of budgets, and make sure every delivery meets strict security and safety standards. You’ll lead a team of drivers, technicians, and schedulers, ensuring they’re supported and performing at their best. From maintaining legal compliance to completing documentation accurately, you’ll keep everything running smoothly.
But there’s more. You’ll also provide advice on fleet and driver needs, work closely with stakeholders to integrate plans, and look for ways to improve how we operate. Obsessed with delivering outstanding service, you’ll analyse transport opportunities, recommend improvements, and implement changes that enhance our operations. And as a natural leader, you’ll recruit, coach, and develop your team to achieve their best, ensuring we continue to deliver secure and reliable services that support the vital work of government departments across the diplomatic network.
Use your transport expertise to keep global operations moving
With a CPC in Road Transport (National and International) and a Diploma in Transport and Warehouse Management, you’ll bring a thorough knowledge of road transport legislation and strong communication skills to the role. You’ll have solid experience in logistics operations and supply chain planning, and you’ll be confident packing goods securely, resolving incidents efficiently, and managing high-risk manual handling tasks.
You’ll also be skilled at planning and organising, developing schedules and forecasts, and meeting performance targets to deliver great service. Your negotiation and financial management abilities will help you ensure operations remain cost-effective and compliant.
