RECEPTIONIST BASED IN BURY ST EDMUNDS

Position:
Job Share, 2 days per week (17 hours total), £12.50ph. A private podiatry practice is looking for a permanent part-time receptionist to work as part of a team of 2 on a job share basis.

Job Summary:
This role requires the candidate to provide a professional and high quality customer service experience to the patients. Receive and assist patients in a courteous way and project a positive and friendly image to patients. Dealing with general enquiries face-to-face and over the telephone, booking and cancelling appointments, processing payments accurately along with a wider variety of administrative responsibilities.

Main duties of the job:
•Taking patient bookings accurately using the Outlook Calendar booking system and processing all bookings in a timely manner and with attention to detail.
•To deal with all general enquiries, bookings, amending and cancelling patient’s appointments.
•Answering incoming telephone calls and ensuring calls are documented as necessary.
•Registering new patients.
•Can manage a variety of different administrative tasks as allocated by Podiatrist.
•To take messages accurately and pass on information.
•Filing and retrieving paperwork and medical records as necessary.
•To provide general administrative support such as patient’s invoices, photocopying, etc.
•Take payments for treatment and record correctly.

The ideal candidate will have:
•Proven ability to provide excellent customer service.
•Excellent phone, interpersonal and communication skills.
•Ability to work as part of a team but also unsupervised.
•Able to multi-task.
•Experience of handling confidential information.
•Flexibility within working hours to cover for holiday and sickness.
•Confident using a computer keyboard and possess good computer skills is essential.
•Working knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook Calendar desirable though not essential as full training will be given.

• Dog resident at practice therefore must be dog friendly.
