An exciting opportunity to work within a learning centre for students with specific learning difficulties and disabilities has arisen
We are seeking a Senior Learning Support Assistant who will assist in the supervision and allocation of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), ensuring students have identified support.
You will produce and update timetables for LSAs
Co-ordinate the redirection of learning support staff and will assist in the induction of new LSAs.
You will also provide one-to-one/small group support within class for students with specific learning difficulties and disabilities.
You will induct and mentor new Learning Support Assistants into the college, ensuring shadowing arrangements are in place and monitor their development.
You will assist the Head of Learning Support in carrying out the appraisal process for identified LSAs
You will liaise with other staff to ensure students’ needs are met effectively and to ensure regular communication with respect to the progress of students
You will ensure that new Learning Support Assistants have undertaken mandatory training
Requirements :
You will need to possess experience gained in a Learning Support Assistant role.
You will also possess strong administrative and organisational skills
You will have strong communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with and work in cooperation with other staff
You will have experience of working within the learning disability field
