Crynodeb
To work in partnership with the Head of Perinatal Governance and Assurance and Head of Midwifery and Senior Operational Leads to provide professional and operational leadership and management of the Governance framework, delivering a safe quality perinatal service and educational programme for all maternity staff: To have expert clinical skills and ensure appropriate assessment, implementation and evaluation of care is achieved. Act as a resource for other members of the multidisciplinary team. To lead on a range of portfolios depending on the needs of the service working with the senior governance team, including patient safety, education and digital agendas. Represent midwifery governance in all multidisciplinary forums. To implement, embed and assure governance processes, in conjunction with the wider multidisciplinary and midwifery team to ensure seamless and robust processes are in place. Work in partnership with a range of clinicians and managers in audit, planning and development of the service to promote patient safety, governance, and risk management. Embed quality and safety initiatives, across the perinatal service.Support the Trust Corporate lead for CQC Quality and compliance in relation to assurance of National regulatory requirements for perinatal services. Provide clinical and professional leadership with advice and support in relation to perinatal governance. Embed SMART actions, monitor and embed into practice and evidence through seamless processes that assurance is provided to the department and divisional leads. Deputise for the Head of Perinatal Governance and Assurance They will provide clinical leadership to enable them to operationalise, coordinate and promote the perinatal Safety agenda at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
