The Governing Body at High Green Primary School are looking to appoint a Clerical Assistant/Receptionist We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and passionate staff member to become part of our thriving, friendly school.
The working hours are 22.5 hours, over 3 days (days to be arranged) per week for 39 weeks per year.
Working hours may vary depending on the needs of the school, We are currently looking for a proactive, hardworking and positive individual to join our office team.
You will:
Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ideally have experience of administration systems in schools.
Be friendly and approachable.
Have the ability to multi task in busy environments.
Have an excellent work ethic.
Be hardworking, enthusiastic and flexible.

The school office works very closely together with the School Business Manager to provide a happy, stimulating environment in which children can learn to their full potential. The role of clerical assistant/receptionist is a key one in the school.
On a day-to-day basis your job is to ensure the smooth running of the school office. This will include a whole range of administrative tasks as well as being the first point of contact for all parents/visitors to our school. This aspect is extremely important as first impressions really do count!
No two days are exactly the same and therefore the role can vary hugely on a day to day basis. You will need to be committed to working with children, have a positive approach and work well as part of a team. You will need to be flexible, resilient and be able to form strong relationships with adults and children.
The successful candidate will:
Have a strong commitment to helping raise the achievement for all pupils by providing a welcoming environment for the pupils to learn
Possess experience in a clerical role and working in a busy school office environment
Have the ability to work constructively as a team and maintain effective working relationships.
Be proactive, have the ability to use their initiative, be well organised and have the necessary skills to prioritise their own workload
Have knowledge of school practices, policies and procedures
Have experience in preparing, maintaining and monitoring records, including financial records and dealing with cash
Promote and maintain a culture of high expectations for self and others
Be flexible and willing to work outside usual hours when required.
