Student Support Officer (EL160)
Salary: £22,556 – £25,205 (per annum)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 per week
Location: Crewe Campus
We are seeking an inspiring individual to join our team at our Crewe Campus as Student Support Officer. This role involves welcoming learners to College and ensuring that they are wearing their lanyards, holding focus groups with learners for feedback about their College experience, encouraging positive behaviours amongst learners in the wider College environments and responding to requests for help and support from learners in liaison with other College staff/departments. Providing First Aid where required (full training will be given).
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain high visibility across the campus, communicating effectively with learners and promoting positive behaviours;
Be a member of the Be-Safe team supporting learners under the supervision of the Designated and Deputy Designation Safeguarding Leads;
Be present at the campus barriers in the morning to support learner arrival; and
Act as first aider as required.
Key Person Specification Requirements:
Level 3 qualification or above, in a relevant discipline;
GCSE Grade C (4/5) in Maths and English (or equivalent);
Ability to develop good working relations and rapport with young people (16-18 years) and adult learners;
Experience of working with groups and/or individuals in a supportive environment;
Current, valid driving licence; and
Enhanced DBS check.
