Within the Cemeteries Service, we are working hard to improve service delivery to our customers.
Following a functional review, we now require an individual to work alongside our Gravedigger/Gardener team. This role encompasses all grave duties within Stirling's burial grounds.
The post will also involve general maintenance duties including hedge cutting, planting annual bedding and the general upkeep of cemeteries. With the support of the Cemeteries Officer/Supervisor, you will ensure that service delivery is efficient, effective and responsive to our customer needs.
The position of Gravedigger/Gardener requires that you are able to exhibit compassion and empathy in what can be an emotional environment due to the sensitive nature of the service we provide.
You must be able to demonstrate written and verbal communication skills, together with the ability to tackle and resolve challenges. Applicants should possess a current Mini Excavator operator’s license and a clean driving licence.
This is an exciting opportunity in which you can make a genuine contribution to the delivery of the Cemeteries Service within Stirling’s communities. If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you.
We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
