Argoed High School is a highly successful, 11-16 comprehensive with an excellent reputation in the community. This is an exciting time to join Argoed High School, with our new state of the art building.
We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for 27.5 hours per week (Mon – Fri) to support pupils with additional learning needs. The pupils may have emotional or behaviour needs or learning difficulties. The successful applicants will be expected to manage and support the pupils’ learning.
Essential Criteria
• Enthusiastic, committed and flexible.
• Experience of managing and supporting individual pupils and small groups of pupils.
• Experience of working with pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs.
• Understanding of confidentiality.
• Well organised, with good time management.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Able to liaise with teaching staff.
• Able to work independently and also within a team.
• NVQ 2 Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent)
• English, Science, Maths GCSEs.
