Salary: £40k-£45k- relocation package for the right candidate- to be discussed

Working Hours: Mon-Wed 21:00 - 07:00, Thu 21:00 - 06:00 (39 hours per week)
About Us:
My client are a rapidly expanding their customer base and entering new markets while maintaining their commitment to current businesses. This is a new role and we are searching for a Night Shift Manager to support their strategic growth and succession planning.
This is a senior position reporting directly to the Foundry Operations Manager, working alongside our Foundry Foreman and department Supervisors.
You must come from a foundries and casting background, they will NOT look at any other industry experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage night shift melting and pouring activities, ensuring adherence to procedures and daily production schedules.
- Operate and maintain water-cooled electric induction furnaces and related systems, guaranteeing quality control.
- Act as the primary contact for Health, Safety, and Environmental matters, reporting critical information to the Foundry Operations Manager.
- Participate in supervisor meetings, providing daily reports and ensuring effective team management.
- Oversee HR issues, including attendance and grievances, while facilitating training and recruitment for the night shift team.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a foundry setting, with hands-on knowledge of induction furnaces and molten metal operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
- Understanding of Iron metallurgy and basic chemistry is a must.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrable experience in team organisation and task prioritisation.
