We are seeking a proactive, friendly, and customer-focused individual to join our team on a fixed-term contract until 6 January 2026.

Reporting to the Health & Fitness Manager, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality Personal Training sessions and a wide range of exercise classes. The position also includes carrying out various administrative duties as part of the daily routine.

The key objectives of the role are to deliver high-quality Personal Training sessions, to plan and lead a variety of exercise classes, to perform a range of administrative tasks, and to support the day-to-day operations of the health and fitness programme.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, and approachable, with strong interpersonal and customer service skills. A keen eye for detail, along with excellent organisational and time management abilities, is essential.

You will join a small but vital sub-team within Saints Sport that plays a key role in delivering operational services and supporting the health and fitness programme. This includes working with students, staff, and members of the wider University community, and occasionally collaborating with sports clubs.

While direct experience in every aspect of the role is not required, we are interested in candidates who bring transferable skills and a willingness to learn and grow professionally. Previous experience in a gym environment, a solid understanding of exercise modalities and equipment, and experience leading multiple exercise classes are all important.

This is a full-time, fixed-term post, working 36.25 hours per week, with a contract end date of 6 January 2026. The post is available for immediate start.

Further information and informal enquiries may be directed to Ross Whittaker, email: rw82@st-andrews.ac.uk
