We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a home care or care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while being attentive to the needs of our clients.
Responsibilities;
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Support clients in following their individual care plans and monitor their progress.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
Document client care activities accurately and promptly in accordance with organisational policies.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Requirements
Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Familiarity with IT systems for documentation purposes is advantageous.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
