DVSA is looking for an organised individual to join their Health and Safety Advisors team. You will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of DVSA Occupational Health and Safety Policy in the area. This is a fast-paced role that requires you to be organised and have the ability to re-prioritise workloads as and when necessary, to meet business need.
As the successful candidate, you will be required to interpret data from different documents and communicate this information accordingly while managing the team mailbox and assisting with queries as they arise. You will be a confident individual who can communicate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
- Provide routine advice and guidance to local and senior management teams in line with DVSA Health and Safety policies.
- Helping with the management of the Health and Safety Accident and Incident reporting System, The H&S Team mailbox and documentation to support the DVSA ISO 45001 Occupational Safety and Health management system.
- Liaising with the DVSA Health and Safety Team and other stakeholders, to implement a consistent approach to Health and Safety strategy in line with current policy and legislative requirements.
- To assist in producing statistics and reports which are required for the formulation of management reports.
- Attending National and area Health and Safety meetings when required.
- Conduct site inspections at DVSA premises and on occasions, assist the Health & Safety advisors with site inspections.
