Location: Hanbury Road, Pontypool, Torfaen, NP4 6YB
Contract Type: Temporary (26 weeks)
Start Date: 1 August 2025
Hours: Full-Time – 37 hours/week Rate: £14.13 PAYE / £17.76 Umbrella

About the Role
Torfaen Council is seeking an organised and proactive Grants and Monitoring Support Officer to join our Administrative and Clerical team on a temporary basis. You'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of preventative services across the borough through effective administration, monitoring, and compliance of grant funding—particularly those aligned with Early Intervention and Prevention priorities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on meaningful community-focused initiatives and help ensure resources reach the people and projects who need them most.

Key Responsibilities
Support the design and delivery of grant support programmes

Administer and monitor grants, including Third Sector Major Grants

Collaborate on developing an efficient grant framework and ensure compliance

Conduct grant assurance, verification, and performance monitoring

Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders

Lead and assist in reviews, audits, and continuous improvement of grant schemes

Maintain strong relationships with community groups and partners

Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation

Experience in grant administration, compliance, or monitoring

Understanding of Early Intervention and Prevention strategies

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Strong organisational skills with attention to detail

Ability to work independently and collaboratively
