Role Purpose:
- To work on an existing Highway Maintenance Contract.
- To Install Electrical equipment on the Highway network including Streetlighting columns and illuminated signage. Attended and make safe Electrical emergency on the network including out of hours rota.
What you'll be doing
Your accountabilities will include:
- Undertake routine maintenance of Lighting Columns, brackets, Lanterns, bollards and signs
- Undertake reactive maintenance including fault finding and repair
- Carry out electrical safety inspections
- Complete and sign off electrical test sheets following installations
- Management of on site point of work risk assessments
- Identify and report safety observations
- Responsible for site traffic management / Pedestrian Management
Who we're looking for
Essential:
- Experience of a similar role
- The ability to communicate with all levels, from senior management to operational staff
- Ability to identify problems and resolve promptly and efficient.
- IPAF 1b + Harness and Fall Arrest training;
- ECS Card to relevant level
- Emergency First Aid (1 Day)training;
- G39 + 214 Safe Isolation;
- HEA card
Desirable:
- Holder of SMSTS or other Health and Safety related qualification
- 302.1 (12D) Traffic Management;
- Manual Handling training;
