Morgan Hunt is proud to be working with a leading Further Education college in the West Midlands to recruit an experienced Carpentry professional for a permanent Carpentry Lecturer position.
The Role
As a Carpentry Lecturer, you'll be responsible for delivering and assessing qualifications to a mix of 16-18-year-old students and adult learners across a range of Carpentry courses from Level 1 to Level 3. This includes classroom-based learning as well as apprenticeship training.
- Deliver engaging Carpentry sessions to learners at various levels
- Assess and track student progress in line with awarding body requirements
- Support and motivate learners to achieve their full potential
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and improve curriculum delivery
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
- An assessing qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Industry experience in Carpentry and Joinery
- Previous experience teaching or supporting learners is desirable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Work with a supportive and experienced education team
