Project Engineer

Bradford, £40k + DOE

Excellent opportunity to join a well-established business in Bradford managing engineering & construction projects from order, through manufacturing, delivery and installation. Excellent organisational and customer service skills are essential as is a confident understanding of engineering drawings and processes.

The role:

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
  • Monitor compliance to applicable contracts, codes, practices, QA & QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements Perform overall quality control of the work overseeing budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance and report regularly on project status
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with general manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Manage and undertake the financial aspects of the projects including any compensation events and early warnings.
  • Ensure all drawings are correct, bills of materials are accurate, parts are delivered on time and project is installed, commissioned in the required manner and time scales
  • Run an efficient project and site that complies to regulatory requirements, ensure equipment is calibrated and safe, raise action logs to support corrective action and root cause analysis

The person:

  • Proven working experience as a project engineer managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Highly organized and people-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving, Decision making ability and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
