Crynodeb

Are you passionate about making a difference through the power of volunteering? Do you thrive on building relationships and supporting others to succeed? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

At St Clare Hospice, we’re looking for a Voluntary Development Coordinator to be the welcoming face and guiding hand for new volunteers as they begin their journey with us. This pivotal role ensures our volunteers feel valued, supported, and empowered from day one.

We are seeking a Voluntary Development Coordinator to co-ordinate the management of our volunteer services. This role is the welcoming gateway for new volunteers and a key support for volunteer supervisors across the organisation. You’ll ensure our volunteer programme runs smoothly, aligns with strategic goals, and continues to grow in impact and reach.

Key Responsibilities

Be the first point of contact for new volunteers, helping them feel informed, inspired, and ready to contribute.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to volunteer supervisors across the organisation.
Collaborate with volunteer supervisors to identify opportunities for meaningful volunteer involvement.
Support supervisors in drafting clear, effective role descriptions that reflect the tasks, skills, and experience required.
Lead recruitment campaigns, advertising roles through internal and external channels, and working with our Communications team to attract the best candidates.
Maintain effective recruitment processes and accurate volunteer data.
What We’re Looking For:

A people-person with excellent communication and organisational skills.
A team player who is passionate about community, compassion, and care.
Experience in volunteer coordination, HR, or community engagement.
A proactive, people-focused approach with the ability to inspire and support others.
Confidence in managing recruitment processes and working collaboratively across departments.

In return for your commitment, we offer a competitive salary, benefits, generous leave, pension options (including NHS continuity), life assurance, and an Employee Assistance Programme. We also provide strong development support and learning opportunities.

For an informal discussion, please contact:
