The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Learning Mentor & Behaviour Support role within specialist and mainstream school settings. This is a full-time position, supporting pupils who may present with challenging behaviour, emotional regulation difficulties, or social and emotional needs.
You will work closely with teaching and pastoral teams to de-escalate situations, support positive behaviour strategies, and help pupils remain engaged in learning.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted 1:1 or small group support for students displaying challenging or disruptive behaviour

Help pupils develop coping strategies and regulate their emotions

Build positive, trusting relationships to boost self-esteem and resilience

Support classroom staff with behaviour management and interventions

Work alongside SENCOs, safeguarding teams, and external agencies where appropriate

Requirements:

Previous experience in a behaviour support, mentoring, youth work or SEN role

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure

Confidence working with students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or trauma-related needs

A consistent, firm but empathetic approach

Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential)
