About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified SENCO to join a supportive and dynamic secondary school environment in Eastbourne for the upcoming autumn term.
This is a full-time, temporary role running from September to December 2025, with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.
You will play a vital leadership role in ensuring that pupils with special educational needs receive the tailored support and interventions they require to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the SEN provision across the school

Coordinate and monitor EHCPs, SEN support plans, and interventions

Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals

Provide guidance and training to staff on inclusive practice and differentiation

Ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and SEN Code of Practice

Requirements:

Qualified SENCO (NASENCO qualification essential)

Valid Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)

Proven experience supporting pupils with a wide range of SEND
