We are looking for an organised and confident Cover Supervisor to join a great team.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain on task and complete the work set by the teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for someone considering a career in teaching or who enjoys working with young people in a secondary school setting. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Cover Supervisor:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering set work.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Ensure students stay focused and complete the tasks provided.

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff about student engagement and behaviour.

  • Support students with questions about the work set.

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

  • Have experience working with young people (desirable).

  • Be confident managing groups of secondary-aged students.

  • Have good communication and organisational skills as a Cover Supervisor.

  • Be calm, flexible and able to use initiative.

  • Be committed to maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment.
