We are looking for an organised and confident Cover Supervisor to join a great team.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain on task and complete the work set by the teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for someone considering a career in teaching or who enjoys working with young people in a secondary school setting. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Cover Supervisor:
Supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering set work.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Ensure students stay focused and complete the tasks provided.
Provide feedback to teaching staff about student engagement and behaviour.
Support students with questions about the work set.
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
Have experience working with young people (desirable).
Be confident managing groups of secondary-aged students.
Have good communication and organisational skills as a Cover Supervisor.
Be calm, flexible and able to use initiative.
Be committed to maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment.
