In this role, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students continue learning and stay on task. This is a great opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Cover Supervisor:
Deliver pre-set work to whole classes across different subjects.
Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
Manage student behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
Provide feedback to teaching staff about student progress and behaviour.
Support students with questions about the work where appropriate.
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
Be confident managing groups of secondary-aged students.
Have strong communication and classroom management skills as a Cover Supervisor.
Be adaptable and able to cover a range of subjects.
Be organised, punctual and reliable.
Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
