Decant Officer

Description
The Decant Officer plays a crucial role in the efficient management and execution of decanting processes, ensuring the safe transition of items, materials, or products from one storage or usage location to another. This position requires a proactive individual who can coordinate logistics, track inventory, and maintain precise records throughout the decanting process. The Decant Officer will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and organizational protocols, thereby safeguarding both personnel and assets. This role involves direct communication with various stakeholders, including warehouse staff, suppliers, and management, to facilitate smooth operations. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems in real-time, all while maintaining a focus on efficiency and effectiveness. Given the dynamic nature of this job, adaptability and strong interpersonal skills are vital for success. The Decant Officer will also be expected to contribute to process improvement initiatives and participate in training sessions for team members. Working within a dedicated team, the Decant Officer's contributions will ensure that our decanting operations run smoothly, support productivity, and lead to exceptional outcomes for our organization and clients.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee the decanting operations to ensure timely and accurate transitions.
Maintain and update inventory records to track items during the decanting process.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to assess space and resource availability for decanting activities.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines throughout the decanting process.
Prepare detailed decanting reports and documentation for management review.
Train and mentor new staff on decanting procedures and best practices.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
Requirements
Proven experience in logistics, warehousing, or a related field is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.

Pay Per Hour: £18.00
