We’re excited to announce the opening of a brand-new canteen at our Fareham distribution centre – and we’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistants to join our team!
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something new from the ground up. As a key member of our small, friendly catering team, you’ll play an important role in delivering a high-quality food service to our hardworking colleagues.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold meals, snacks, and beverages
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
- Assisting with food preparation and stock rotation
- Providing excellent customer service to colleagues during meal times
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the canteen
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or catering environment
- A positive, can-do attitude and a team-player mindset
- Good communication skills and a friendly approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Basic food hygiene knowledge (a certificate is a plus, but not essential)

- Ordering of Stock for food preparation and vending machines
- Supporting stock management and stock control
- Code checking and checking quality of stock
- Preparation of food in accordance with food hygiene regulations
- Vending machine replenishment and management (price changes, cleaning and cash collection)
- Hospitality support
- Assisting in maintaining housekeeping in the canteen & kitchen facilities, dining area and Kitchen counters
- Adhere to food hygiene/HACCP/Allegen/COSHH Guidelines at all times
- Maintaining due diligence on temperature controls and code dates
- An excellent attitude towards customer service with a friendly outgoing personality and be used to working within a team environment.
- A high standard of presentation and the ability to work within a team producing and serving a varied menu to colleagues and visitors on site
- The ideal candidate will be required to prepare, cook and serve food along with cleaning duties and stock vending machines.
- Be able to work 5pm-11pm Monday to Thursday & 2pm-8pm Sunday
