What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our busy, demanding and rewarding school, starting in September 2025.
The HLTA role at Newfield can be deployed in a number of ways.
This postis for the Post 16 departmentbut candidates should be aware that if the needs of the school change, they could be deployed to any the key requirement roles (attached).
You will support pupils’ education, health, medical, physical and general care needs following agreed plans, promote effective communication for all pupils using a range of agreed strategies e.g.: Makaton, PECS, communication aides etc. and take a lead role in the management of pupils and the classroom under the direction of the teacher.
