What we are looking for:We are seeking an exceptional SEND Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at Westbury Park School. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our students with specific learning difficulties and educational needs, supporting them to make progress and thrive in our inclusive and nurturing environment. Part-time, TTO, fixed for one year. Monday to Friday 8.45am - 1.15pm.Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND, tailoring your approach to their individual needs
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective strategies and interventions to support student learning
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of SEND students, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
• Contribute to the development and implementation of SEND-related policies and procedures including the intimate care policy when required.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve your skills and knowledge
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
• A genuine passion for supporting and empowering children with SEND to reach their full potential
Desirable Qualities:
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support (e.g. CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools)
• Knowledge of specific SEND-related strategies and interventions
• Creativity and flexibility in adapting teaching and learning approaches
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a growth mindset
