The Primary School strive to create an inclusive, adaptable and respectful environment that encourages their children to want to succeed with their learning and personal development. They were rated as ‘good’ in their recent Estyn Report with the feedback stating that nearly all pupils make strong progress and that there has been strong support implemented for pupils with additional learning needs.
The Primary School are looking to take on an ambitious Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis leading to a potential permanent role for the right Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will be expected to support children with ALN on a one to one basis and therefore having experience in this is desirable for this role. You will need to have outstanding patience skills and be able to remain professional in challenging situations.
The successful Teaching Assistant / TA will have:
• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / TA qualification or at least 6 months experience working within a classroom setting
• Experience working with ASD, ADHD, Challenging Behaviour and Non Verbal children
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A good ability to create valued relationships with pupils
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
