We're currently looking for a talented and driven Senior Acoustic Consultant to join our Acoustics team. You could be based in one of three of our UK offices (Bristol, London, Maidenhead) and we operate a hybrid working model (minimum 3 days in the office/onsite).

This role is ideal for individuals looking to progress their career in acoustics.

By joining Sweco you will be part of an international team of talented and enthusiastic acousticians. You will help plan and design the communities and cities of the future, and help our customers produce sustainable and efficient infrastructure.

What does the role involve?

Working within our Acoustic Team you will work on a variety of projects at the forefront of sustainable development to acoustic assessments for key Environmental, Infrastructure and Energy projects in the UK and abroad gaining hands-on experience and valuable insights into the world of acoustic consultancy.

To be successful in this role you’ll possess:

A degree in acoustics or similar, or suitable alternative education (e.g. IoA Diploma)
An Associate or Corporate Membership of the Institute of Acoustics (AMIOA or MIOA).
Good experience in Acoustic Consultancy; Environmental and Infrastructure Acoustics will be considered.
Competent in the use of Cadna/A acoustic modelling software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Be adaptable and resourceful in addressing unforeseen circumstances.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple project types effectively.
A full driving licence is essential as UK-wide travel should be expected.
Keen interest in personal development.
Skills that would help you be successful:

Knowledge and understanding of the standards, regulations and methodologies related to acoustic consultancy.

An understanding of relevant UK and European guidance/standards that are applied within the planning context (including EIA).

Proven track record of successfully delivering acoustics projects, particularly in noise impact assessments and environmental noise control.

Working with other organisations to further knowledge and understanding of acoustics, how it can be affected by good design and new technologies, with the aim of contributing to the development of future best practice.
