This is an exciting opportunity to join the Parent and Infant Relationship Service (PAIRS) in Salford. We are seeking to recruit a Senior Clinical Psychologist, who will take a senior role within PAIRS to support with the Best Start for Life perinatal and parent-infant relationships delivery plan. The successful candidate must be passionate about early intervention and have experience and knowledge of working with infants and their parents. You must have a working knowledge of CAMHs or Adult Mental Health Services and have an understanding of assessing risk in the perinatal period, including Safeguarding. Under supervision you will be expected to manage your own case load to provide high quality assessment, formulation and interventions to meet the needs of parents and infants accessing PAIRS. You will support the development of the team and the wider professional network through consultation, training and supervision. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of professional who are dedicated to providing the best possible care for parents and their infants in Salford.

The post holder will work as part of the Parent and Infant Relationship Service in Salford, supporting parents and infants to receive appropriate relational support for themselves and their babies. The post holder will contribute to the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist service to infants under 2 years and their families within PAIRS and contribute towards the Family Hubs Best Start for Life perinatal and parent infant relationships delivery plan.

The post holder will autonomously manage a caseload, providing a range of high-quality care appropriate to the infant and parent’s needs; within professional practice guidelines and a structured supervision framework. Duties may include consultation, training and supervision to professionals working in early years to promote parent-infant mental health and relationships.
