As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. This role is perfect for those who enjoy variety, working outdoors, and delivering great customer service.
Position: Van Driver – Bulky Waste Clearance (Driver & Labourer)
As a Van Driver in our bulky waste clearance team, you will be responsible for operating a 3.5t Luton-style van and carrying out physical waste removal tasks. This is a ‘man and van’ style role which combines local and national driving with hands-on waste collection. Whether working alone or as part of a two-person team, you’ll represent the company on the front line, helping to deliver efficient and sustainable waste management services to homes and businesses.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive a 3.5t vehicle to job locations both locally and nationally.
• Load and unload bulky waste items safely and efficiently.
• Deliver exceptional customer service on-site, including customer interaction on the job and updating internal teams.
• Use mobile apps to track jobs, record notes and complete paperwork digitally.
• Work solo or as part of a two-person team, depending on job requirements.
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company procedures.
• Handle a variety of waste types, from furniture removals to non-hazardous waste solutions and builders clearances.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle.
Candidate Requirements
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points (essential).
• Must be 30 or older for insurance purposes.
• Comfortable with physical work and tackling hands-on clearance tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Able to use mobile apps confidently with a working data contract.
• Clean DBS preferred; background checks will be conducted.
• Willingness to undergo random drug and alcohol testing.
• You’ll need to be able to make your way to our depot in Ellesmere Port. On-site parking is available. Public transport accessible.
Types of Jobs
You’ll be handling a wide variety of jobs that require physical involvement and a good level of fitness. These include clean and easy bulky furniture removals, domestic and commercial bin collections, construction waste clearances, and general ‘man and van’ style jobs. Many tasks involve manual labour and you may work solo or as part of a two-person team. You must be prepared for a mix of straightforward and more challenging tasks, always delivering a high standard of service.
Days & Hours
• Guaranteed minimum of 35 hours per week (typically 40–50 hours).
• Working hours vary between 07:00 and 18:00.
• Reliability is key – performance bonuses are discretionary and depend on factors such as full attendance.
What We Offer
• Permanent, full-time role with a guaranteed 35-hour week.
• Competitive pay: £12.50 per hour plus performance bonuses.
• 28 days holiday per year.
• NEST pension provided.
• Uniform and PPE provided.
• Supportive team environment and training provided.
