About the role:
You will oversee compliance and safety for the Council's housing properties and associated assets, covering areas such as gas servicing, electrical testing, asbestos management, fire safety, water hygiene, general health and safety, and more. You will develop improved ways of working within your team to enhance existing contractual arrangements, data management, reporting functionality, transparency of the service, customer engagement and support the Councils strategic objectives. The role will assist on delivery of the Councils asset management strategy, procurement, budget management and be fundamental in driving change within the team to meet the needs and requirements of a modern social housing provider. The role will be key in providing technical advice and implementing change.

About you:
Candidates will have a degree-level qualification and/or membership in a professional body in Construction or a Health & Safety discipline. Staying current with regulatory developments and industry best practices, along with advanced knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, standards, and core disciplines of work is essential for this position.
Experience of delivering construction projects, managing compliance for a large organisation with multiple properties together with contract management experience of specialist mechanical and electrical projects is essential for this post.
