To assist in the assessment, treatment care for patients presenting in the practice Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly To assist in the assessment, treatment care for patients with complex needs Assist with proactively identifying the development of some long-term conditions (as appropriate) Assist practice nurses with management of both acute and chronic conditions, Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles, and apply principles of self-care Implement and participate in flu vaccinations and B12 Injection programmes Meet the needs of patients presenting for opportunistic wound care Assist in minor surgery as appropriate to level of competency Undertake record and follow guidelines for the tasks for which you have received appropriate training. Measuring and recording blood pressure, pulse rate and rhythm, temperature, height and weight, body mass index, peak flow and its calculation Perform ECGs Perform Venepuncture. Prepare and maintain environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions. Ensure clinical area and clinical treatment rooms are clean and well stocked. Undertake dressing procedures following local recommendations, complying with infection control principles and practice. Give accurate and appropriate information to patients and groups within own competence. Support clinicians in providing minor surgery. Carries out any other reasonable duties within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility of the post.
