We are currently looking for an experienced and skilled butcher to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Performing skilled tasks which include slaughter and evisceration of chickens, removal of bone fragments, gristle, surplus fat from finished cuts.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of meat products and equipment
- using equipment or machinery when required
- Completing tasks as efficiently as possible in order to reduce waste and downtime and maximise yields and profits
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the work area
- be able to weigh, package, price and display stock
- to mange stock inventory, budgeting of relevant department and to order stock
- Perform quality inspections on meats and other products.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation controls.
- Provide exceptional customer service and knowledge about different cuts of meats to all customers and answer any meat related questions they may have
