Location: Stockport
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the role:
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join a dedicated team at a specialist SEND school in Stockport. The school supports children and young people aged 11-16 with a range of complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.As a Drama Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering an engaging and therapeutic curriculum that promotes self-expression, communication, and confidence. You will be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of learners, many of whom thrive through creative and experiential learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality drama lessons tailored to students with SEND
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
- Use drama as a tool for emotional regulation, social development, and communication
- Collaborate with the wider staff team, including therapists and support staff
- Contribute to whole-school events, performances, and enrichment activities
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
- Experience teaching students with SEND, particularly SEMH or ASC, is highly desirable
- A creative, flexible, and nurturing approach to teaching
- Strong classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and the performing arts
