We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the role of Technical Surveyor in the Property Services, Planned Investment Team. The successful candidate should have the skills and experience within the refurbishment and construction industry, with the ability to deliver high quality, cost effective major improvement works to our customers.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and positive thinking Technical Surveyor, to assist the Planned Investment Contracts Manager in:
- Delivering customer focussed investment and cyclical projects
- Working alongside Karbons external partnering contractors,
- Pre works inspections and surveys,
- Site monitoring in terms of post inspection of works,
- Recording of monthly KPI’s,
- Ensuring health and safety policies and procedures are followed on site
- Reporting of high quality, cost effective projects.
Within the role you would be involved in the Planned Investment works projects to our large portfolio of properties which includes:
- External Works - Re-roofing, Solar PV and Structural works
- Internal refurbishment – Kitchens, Bathrooms and Re-wires
- Heating Upgrades
- Environmental works to Karbon’s communal areas
- Decarbonisation and energy efficiency works.
About you
Customer satisfaction is at the forefront of what we aim to deliver and the enthusiastic individual should have excellent customer service skills with direct Karbon customers, external contractors and other key stakeholders.
They will need to act as a positive member of the Property Service Investment team, collaborating with other colleagues across departments and supporting a culture that delivers results and service excellence, and promotes the Karbon values and brand.
The location of the role will vary from year to year, as will the nature of the works and property type, with Karbon having a vast portfolio of stock, across a large geographically area. As such travel will be an essential part of the role.

- Regular travel will be required
- 37 Hours per week with some homeworking available/flexible working
