We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the role of Senior Damp and Mould Surveyor in the Damp and Mould Team.

About the role

The Senior Damp and Mould Surveyor plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective identification, analysis, and resolution of damp and mould issues within Karbon Homes’ properties.

This individual will provide expert guidance to Responsive Repairs Surveyors, oversee detailed reports, liaise with tenants and contractors, and implement solutions to improve property conditions.

They will be responsible for driving compliance with Awaab’s Law, delivering high-quality, customer-focused services, and fostering collaboration across departments to enhance operational efficiency.

Strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to excellence are key to success in this role.

About you

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Damp and Mould Surveyor to join our team at Karbon Homes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in damp and mould surveying, preferably within a local authority or housing association, and will be committed to delivering the highest standard of services in response to Awaab’s Law.

They will provide expert guidance to a team of Responsive Repairs Surveyors, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective remedial actions.

The right individual will possess in-depth knowledge of building pathology and remedial techniques, be adept at analysing reports, liaising with stakeholders, and implementing solutions to mitigate damp and mould issues.

Collaboration and teamwork are essential, as they will work closely with contractors, tenants, and internal departments to drive operational excellence while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous improvement are key attributes we seek in the ideal candidate.

  • Senior Damp and Mould Surveyor – permanent role
  • Salary is £44,629 per annum plus a Karbon car payment of £2317 per annum
  • £633 flexible pot (which can be used for salary top-up or to purchase a range of benefits).
  • Location: Karbon footprint across the North East.
  • Regular travel will be required
  • 37 Hours per week.
