The Headteacher is seeking a motivated and passionate Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025 on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will be delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), including preparation for GCSE examinations. Your role will be pivotal in supporting student achievement and contributing to a positive and ambitious school culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Deliver high-quality lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in line with the national curriculum

  
  

• Use a range of teaching strategies and practical activities to promote scientific inquiry and critical thinking

  
  

• Prepare and support students for assessments and GCSE examinations

  
  

• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and EAL students

  
  

• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where students feel motivated to succeed

  
  

• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing feedback that supports growth

  
  

• Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to develop schemes of work and share best practice

  
  

• Participate in school life, including parents' evenings, extracurricular clubs, and CPD sessions

  
  

• Uphold the school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times

  
  What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science)

    
    

  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 level (GCSE); ECTs are also encouraged to apply

    
    

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for delivering engaging, inspiring science lessons

    
    

  • Excellent classroom management skills and a proactive teaching approach

    
    

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and contributing to school life
