Job Vacancy: Packing Staff
Company: Our client, based in Middleton, provides essential services to companies by preparing their stock for retail sale. They are currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Packing Staff to join their team.
Job Description:
As a member of our packing team, you will play a crucial role in the efficient preparation, packaging, and labelling of a variety of goods for our clients. In addition to these primary responsibilities, you may also be involved in other warehouse duties. This position is considered benchwork, and you will be handling products of various sizes, assembling promotional goods, and creating attractive product baskets.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, pack, and label products.
- Assemble promotional goods and gift baskets.
- Use a tape gun for sealing packages (previous experience is advantageous).
- Handle various-sized products efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required.
- Comply with safety regulations and wear safety shoes and a Hi-Vi's vest.
- Follow guidelines for lifting and handling packages.
- No KPI's, however candidates must be prepared to put in the hard work and have a good attitude and willingness to work.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in packing and warehousing is preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work Monday to Thursday from 08.00 to 16:30 and Friday 08.00-15.00
- Long-term assignment with no weekend work.
