We recognise the importance of flexibility — this role is fully remote-friendly for those who prefer to work from home. The role is being advertised as full-time but we would encourage those looking for part-time hours to apply also.
This varied post offers a fulfilling blend of responsibilities, including:
· Delivering expert care to a small, well-supported caseload of home enterally fed patients
· Facilitating outpatient paediatric clinics
· Providing specialist dietetic input for children in special needs schools
You’ll work within a skilled, friendly team serving Bedford Hospital and the wider community across North and Mid Bedfordshire. Our team prioritises collaboration, offering clinical supervision, regular peer review, and strong day-to-day support.
You’ll also work closely with our dedicated Paediatric Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to deliver holistic, child-centred care.

This is a flexible and professionally rewarding opportunity where you will:
· Manage a focused caseload of community and home enterally fed patients
· Run outpatient clinics for children presenting with:
o Cow’s milk protein allergy and other allergies
o Selective eating behaviours
o Gastrointestinal conditions

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. To manage a highly complex caseload of patients in paediatric Home Enteral Feeding, act as clinical lead and co-ordinate service improvement projects in this area.
2. To manage a highly complex caseload of paediatric patients in the community (special needs school) and contribute to service improvement projects in conjunction with the clinical lead in this area.
3. To manage a highly complex caseload of patients in paediatric outpatients and contribute to service improvement projects in conjunction with the clinical lead in this area.
4. To oversee the management of patients by the dietetic assistant practitioner.
