Job Title: Outreach Activities Coordinator

Location: Enfield, Winchmore Hill. Unfortunately this service does not have step free access

Salary: £30,800

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00, you may need to work outside these days/hours as per required for the service.

About the role

Our service provides supported accommodation units for adults with multiple, complex mental health needs. Our residents may be transitioning from inpatient rehabilitation, acute mental health wards, or other residential settings into a structured rehabilitation environment. Our team are here to support our residents with care and rehabilitation to help them to achieve their personal needs and goals.

As an Outreach Activities Coordinator, you will manage the running and coordination of regular activities, events, and trips for our residents which work in support to individual support places and goals, by creating a calendar of activities, celebrations, awareness months/days/weeks and events to encourage social skills and community engagement. You may also support with other external activities such as supporting with attendance to appointments and treatments, whilst using your own knowledge to support and inspire them in being motivated to engage more with various services.

Plan and implement a range of therapeutic individual and group work activities, and complete functional assessments, contributing to multi-disciplinary team care planning and risk assessments.
Coordinate all aspects of promotion, recruitment, and evaluation of activities and programmes. Take on feedback and utilise this for continuous improvement
Adapt activities/programmes to different learning needs and styles, using different delivery techniques
Coordinate and advertise internal and external activity and programme opportunities.
Empower residents to make decisions to take control over their lives, by creating an enabling environment.
About you

We are looking for someone who is compassionate and driven who thrives on supporting others and creating impactful change.

You will have an understanding of mental health challenges people face and have an understanding of different ways to foster a person-centred approach which supports recovery and outcomes. We are looking for someone who has a genuine care and passion to utilise activities to enable positive outcomes, in a creative way. Ideally, you will have a proven track record in coordinating and delivering engaging activities and programmes, with the ability to develop tailored support plans and appropriate interventions. We are looking for:

Experience in coordinating and/or delivering activities and programmes with people from various backgrounds
Experience of working with people who struggle with their mental health
Ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others
Ability to work creatively and encourage creativity in others

Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs.
Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral. Ability to form and build effective relationships and rapport with others
