Part Time Team Manager Post
Are you looking for a new challenge as a Team Manager? Then come and join our evolving workforce in our Children Looked After Team.
Our Children Looked After Teams work to ensure that children in care receive the best possible support, Social Work teams prioritise working with families to ensure that there are safe and nurturing homes that children can return to and that permanency is achieved for Children and Young People through fostering and connected carers.
You will have good knowledge and understanding of children’s safeguarding work so that you can provide clear management oversight and effective decision making in order to meet our children’s needs in a timely way, ensuring that the best outcomes are achieved. Performance management is essential, and you will need to demonstrate clear strategies to ensure progress is made in all areas. An ability to challenge effectively and support the workforce enabling them to deliver excellent practice whilst prioritising competing demands is essential. You will also need to manage and coordinate work activities in line with the service priorities, along with developing effective partnership arrangements with all appropriate stakeholders, always with the children and family’s needs at the heart.
It is important to us that Hull is a great place to be a child and grow up; a place of opportunity where young people are able to live happy and productive lives and a place where young people will want to live and work in the future.
You’ll need a degree or diploma in Social Work, full Social Work England registration and a proven ability to work in partnership with children, young people, parents, carers, and partners.
We are keen to recruit those who have successful experience in a similar role or are ready to take the next step in their social work career.
