What skills and experience we're looking for

Northern Education Trust, The Blyth Academy is seeking to appoint a Fixed Term position for a Teaching Assisitant for the academic year 2025 - 2026. Our successful Candidate will work as part of the academy to support interventions with students who require additional mentoring to achieve GCSE, working with small groups and individual students across Key Stage 3 and 4 as required, to promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with special needs under the direction of a class teacher/Inclusion Manager.

Contract Type:

Salary Range: Grade 4, SCP 10-12, FTE salary £26,835.00 - £27,711.00, pro rata salary £22,427.17 - £23,159.28

Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment

Working Type:Part Time (35 hours, 39 working weeks, 45.942 paid weeks)

Base:The Blyth Academy, Chase Farm Drive, Blyth, NE24 4JP

Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
