What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Do you have the experience, empathy, and enthusiasm to make a real difference in a child’s life? We’re looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across our school.
Tupton Primary & Nursery Academy is a warm and inclusive primary school committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for all our pupils. We are looking for a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team and work closely with children requiring additional support to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND, including those with EHCPs.
• Work one-to-one or with small groups to meet individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with class teachers and the SENDCo to deliver targeted interventions.
• Foster positive relationships to promote pupils’ confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
• Support the creation of an inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported.
What We’re Looking For:
• A Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent) with experience supporting children with SEND.
• Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or other learning needs.
• Recent experience of working in a primary school setting
• Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach.
• A proactive, flexible attitude and the ability to work as part of a supportive team.
• A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
