Crynodeb

KSTE are expanding breakfast and afterschool club provision to include Wixams Tree Primary Academy and require energetic and motivated playworkers to provide a fun, engaging and safe space for our children at the beginning and end of the school day called The Club.
This position is responsible for the smooth delivery of the breakfast club and afterschool provision. They will be responsible for all aspects of delivering the programme, managing the play environment, delivering high quality afterschool provision, engaging with the children, dealing with parents and liaising with the school and Trust.
The role requires a highly child centred approach, the development of creative play contexts, and a strong understanding of safeguarding.
Previous experience of working with children is desirable but not essential, however the person needs to demonstrate an understanding of offering care to our children. All applicants must undergo training and have a DBS.
Ideally, we would like our playworkers to be able to deliver both the breakfast club and afterschool club, but we can consider applicants who are not able to commit to both time slots.
Please see the role outline with this advert for more details.
Our schools are inclusive, with the highest academic standards; we take children from all backgrounds and give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to flourish. The happiness, well-being and success of our pupils is at the centre of everything we do.All appointments are subject to safer recruitment and safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS clearance check, Prohibition from Teaching Checks and a Section 128 Direction Check (if applicable). KST is committed to the safeguarding of the children and young people in our care and actively promotes their welfare. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. KSTE is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from minority groups.
