Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fleet Coordinator to join our expanding and well-established Fleet team. This role will provide effective and efficient coordination and day to day management of the RSPB vehicle fleet across the UK, including claims, maintenance and legal compliance. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, proficient in utilising computer systems, relevant Fleet technology and have an understanding of stakeholder management.What's the role about?Managing the long-term hire vehicles for the RSPB, ensuring best possible terms and conditions and legal complianceNegotiating with suppliers to obtain the best possible serviceAccountable for managing long term hire fuel cards and their usageResponsible for managing all aspects of motor insurance claimsResponsible for identifying maintenance issues and trends working with our fleet management company ensuring no unnecessary work is carried out and costs are kept to a minimum.Advising regional and reserve staff on a wide range of vehicle related issues including, but not limited to vehicle maintenance checks, licence queries, insurance, training, agricultural vehicle use and regulations.Advise and oversee the RSPB’s driver declaration data ensuring duty of care and legal compliance with regards to driving on RSPB businessManages day-to-day procurement of goods and services, including selecting appropriate suppliers and contractorsEssential skills, knowledge and experience:A level standard or equivalentRecognised fleet management qualification or equivalent experienceKnowledge of vehicle legislation, classification and specificationGood knowledge of software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookOrganisational including time management and prioritisationProblem solvingFlexible attitude and the ability to work under pressureSelf-motivated, innovative and able to take the initiativeThis is a Permanent Part-Time role for 30 hours per week.We are looking to conduct interviews for this position from 30th July 2025.
