Support Worker - White Lion RoadWe currently have opportunities for a full time (37.5 hours per week) & part time (22.5 hours per week) Support Worker to join our supported living service, White Lion Road, in Little Chalfont, Amersham.White Lion Road provides supported housing for six people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. Each resident has their own self-contained flat with 24-hour support on site. One of the flats is used as an office for staff to support White Lion Road residents and provide a communal meeting place with a dining table and cooking facilities. The aim is to provide personalised one to one support to people living in their own homes to help them meet their full potential.As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping people live independently and with dignity. As part of the role, you will:Assess needs and develop personalised support plansPromote independencethrough life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and budgetingProvide personal care with sensitivity and respectFollow and contribute to risk assessments and management plansInduct and assist in the mentoring of new staff Support aspirations and help individuals achieve their goalsYou’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team that values collaboration and compassion.About you:We are looking for someone with experience in the care or support sector, who brings a can-do attitude and a genuine desire to help others thrive.You will also need to:Communicate effectively and adapt to different needs and preferencesBe flexible and reliable, able to work shifts including weekends and bank holidaysWork well as part of a team and independentlyBe committed to equality, diversity, and person-centred careHold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for workIt is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence, have access to a vehicle for work purposes and are happy to do sleep-ins.
