Mount Suart Trust is a charitable trust based on the Isle of Bute, managing and maintaining a series of assets across the island including Mount Stuart House and gardens, 36 farms, 100 residential properties, 1447 hectares acres of woodland and approximately 21 commercial properties including golf courses, bowling greens, fishing and gaming leases. Mount Stuart has a permanent staff level of 44, with 32 seasonal roles (Apr to Oct).
The role of the HR Officer is to support the Senior Leadership Team in the implementation of HR policies and procedures, attendance management, discipline and grievance procedures and to provide HR advice and support to all staff as required.
Key responsibilities:-
• Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of new employees
• Developing programmes that enhance employee relations
• Promoting diversity, equality and inclusivity within the team
• Ensuring the Trust’s employment policies comply with the law and regulations
• Liaise with HR consultancy as and when required.
• Recording and processing confidential information
• Develop and measure People KPIs on a monthly basis
Necessary experience and skills:-
• Have generalist HR experience
• Certification from CIPD
• Be knowledgeable about key HR policies, processes and legislation
• Use Microsoft 365 and have experience of HR portals
• Possess excellent active listening, verbal and written communication skills
