We are seeking a freelance or self-employed Tele Sales Specialist to become a part of our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the business owner to drive exhibitor sales for various events. The position involves approximately 5 hours of work per week and is open for immediate placement. You’ll be working alongside and giving daily, weekly feedback to the business owner. A trial period will be in place to ensure mutual compatibility, followed by a performance review.
Our events are seasonal (September - November, then January - May) so there is usually a break over the summer until around July ready for when our season starts up again in September. Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contacting potential or existing customers to inform them about our services and events via telephone.
• Answering questions about our services.
• Asking questions to understand customer requirements and close sales.
• Enter and update customer information in the main database, including comments of the call and interest from the supplier.
• Keep a record of calls and sales and note useful information.
• Make a summary at the end of each day, email relevant information and keep track of email follow ups.
• Keep a diary and follow up with any suppliers who have shown an interest in exhibiting at our fayres.
Research/source targets to build up our database and contact them (cold call).
• 5 hours a week, hours can be broken down over 2 or 3 days..
• Offer a friendly service, non-pushy sales approach.
• Offer call recordings for training purposes.
• Daily/weekly feedback to the business owner.
• Must project the ethos of our brand.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma; BSc/BA will be a plus
- Degrees will be a plus
REQUIREMENTS & PREFERRED SKILLS
- Friendly.
- Preferable knowledge of the North West area.
- Preferable knowledge of the Wedding/Events Industry.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Excellent Organisational Skills
- Excellent Time Management Skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
- Proven experience as Tele Sales representative or other sales/customer service role
- Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota preferably over the phone
- Good knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. excel) and telephone systems
- Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects
- Excellent knowledge of English (speaking and writing)
- Must have fluent spoken English and a clear, professional phone manner suited to engaging with UK-based customers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection
- Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
Additional Notes: Monthly wage paid upon an invoice being issued to the company.
