Veterinary Surgeon – Sheffield
• Independent, rapidly growing mixed practice just 15 minutes from Sheffield city centre and close to the stunning Peak District – the perfect balance of city life and countryside charm.
• 4-day working week and flexible rota options, designed to support a healthy work-life balance.
• Friendly and collaborative team culture that encourages open case discussions and supports clinical freedom and special interests.
• Well-equipped practice with advanced diagnostic tools including gastroscope, endoscope, laser, shockwave, portable ultrasound scanners, digital radiography, and in-house lab facilities.
I am currently representing a thriving independent practice based in Sheffield, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced small animal vet to join their welcoming and supportive team. Whether you’re looking to branch into a new clinical interest, enjoy a better rota, or simply want to be part of a friendly and progressive practice, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
This well-established practice is committed to professional growth and offers the freedom to pursue your own interests, with a clinical team that values collaboration and mentorship. The team includes experienced vets, long-term locum surgeons, and a new graduate joining soon – making it a great environment whether you're looking for guidance or independence.
Both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered. Ideally, candidates will have 4+ years’ experience, but applications from those with less experience and the right attitude are very welcome. Sole charge and OOH responsibilities are shared fairly across the team.
Rota:
• 4-day working week (flexible options available)
• 1 in 4 weekends on-call
• 1 night per week on-call
• Some sole charge required
Benefits:
• Competitive salary up to £60,000 DOE
• 5 weeks annual leave
• CPD allowance
• RCVS fees paid
• Company mobile phone provided
• Friendly and supportive team with regular case discussions
• Access to excellent diagnostic and surgical equipment
• Diverse and interesting caseload
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive, well-resourced, and friendly environment where your development is truly valued.
