The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and skilled English Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4. In this temporary role – with the potential to become permanent – you will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons while supporting the academic and personal development of students.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare and deliver English lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support.

Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.

Contribute to curriculum development and participate in departmental planning and meetings.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support each learner’s progress and wellbeing.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:-
Experience: At least 1–2 years of teaching English in a secondary school, with a solid understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.

Qualifications: A relevant degree in English or a related field, along with UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Training: Strong classroom management skills and experience with differentiated instruction. Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures.

Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
DBS Check:
All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to working if not already in possession of one registered to the update service. The cost of a DBS may be passed to the applicant.
