What it's like to work here
In the North and West Lakes Portfolio we get to look after some of the most stunning bits of the Lake District; from our Georgian townhouse in Cockermouth, birthplace of William Wordsworth, to our six valleys: Borrowdale, Buttermere, Ennerdale, Wasdale, Eskdale and Dudden. It’s a big patch, but it’s a very special place to work.

The Facilities team are based in Borrowdale but will sometimes work further afield, and we play a very important part in the smooth operation of this large National Trust portfolio. The team is hard working, dedicated and enjoy delivering high quality service to our customers. You'll work closely with our Facilities Coordinator and will report to the Facilities & Support Services Manager

What you'll be doing
You’ll help with the day-to-day presentation of the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces, providing an efficient and flexible facilities service across our portfolio, delivering general maintenance of our public and office facilities. Responsibilities will include cleaning our public toilets in Borrowdale and duties such as general cleaning and litter-picking, both inside and outdoors. You’ll be aiming for the highest standards of customer service everywhere you look after, and this includes speaking to people as they visit and helping them with any queries. You might also get involved with general maintenance work and helping other teams if they need extra support.

You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.
